Terroir and
savoir-faire
Situated in the Premier Cru village of Vertus, in the prestigious Côte des Blancs subregion, the estate is family-run since 1870.
Vertus is one of the highest rated Premier Cru villages. It is famous for its Chardonnay. The domaine benefits from a unique microclimate with deep, chalky subsoil and clay and limestone deposits.
This terroir is perfect for Chardonnay and gives minerality and elegance to the wines. Most of the plots are planted with Chardonnay although there are a few plots with fantastic Pinot Noir.
Certified sustainable
Viticulture
The estate was the first in Champagne to be certified with the sustainable method of the ‘viticulture raisonnée’ which is essentially akin to a “natural” winemaking technique. The winemaker developed this method and it allowed him to work the vines naturally without using any sort of chemicals.
The vineyard is sustainably farmed, organically fertilized, and harvested by hand. In addition to the ‘viticulture durable’ label, the domaine also received the highest possible environmental value certification.
The domaine is populated with all sort of animals like hares and fox cubs.

150 years of savoir-faire and a range that celebrates the star grape variety of Vertus. All the range is predominantly made with Chardonnay and aged for at least 3 years, twice the legal requirement to ensure a greater complexity.
Recently a couple of cuvées were awarded a silver medal at the prestigious Decanter © World Wine Awards.
